Congratulations Graduates!

Congratulations to all 2008 graduates! Especially to the new MBA graduates of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (that includes me! yehey!)

The ceremony was held last March 28 (Friday) at the Pamantasan Ground that started at exactly 4:30 pm. Not much of a convenience as the sun directly hits us but no excuse to feel the excitement and happiness of a graduate. Nice feeling huh!

Nokia 5310 sucks!

Posted by maj on Monday Mar 17, 2008 Under General

Before I bought my Nokia 5310 last February 15, I made a couple of readings in the internet, in blogs and comments, and though I am hesitant to get one for myself, i still did, thinking that the defects observed by other users are tolerable, such as hangs and shutdowns. Read More

TGIF!

Posted by maj on Friday Mar 14, 2008 Under Treats

Thanks God, it’s Friday’s! Sa wakas! :D

It is my first time to dine in Friday’s, courtesy of course of my ever-loving boyfriend, (thanks hon!)

We ordered their on-going promo (2 can eat for P888+sc). In this promo, you have one appetizer (with..i think 6 choices) and two entrees (also with a number of choices) and two mango shakes (a choice of green or ripe), very good for the price. And since we have a flyer from Globe, as subscribers, we are entitled to a free dessert, the choco mud pie. What a great dinner we had on a Friday night! And for a very good price!

Since it’s my first time, i really appreciate their fast and friendly service.

I think the promo runs until March 31, this year.

We’re brothers forever…

Posted by maj on Wednesday Mar 12, 2008 Under General

..i am your brother, your bestfriend forever.. singin this song and the music that you like….

This post was inspired by the song “We’re Brothers Forever” by Renaldo Lapuz, a Filipino-American who auditioned for American Idol.

The brothers in pictures were my nephews, and I am always delighted by their childishness. How i envy them, I always wished that i am in their age, so carefree, so loving, so playful, so cute and so happy! The elder brother is John Gabriel (Gabo) and the younger is Kris Lorenz (Bokbok), they are 11mos. apart. :D

They stay with us in the same house, and everyone in the Family always look forward of getting home from work to play with them, as for me, i love to see them upset and crying, how i loved to irritate them, especially bokbok… well… i just find it cute to see them upset.

the Wheatgrass

Posted by maj on Monday Mar 10, 2008 Under General

..the wheat grass, juiced up…

Wheat grass according to Wikipedia refers to the young grass of the common wheat plant, Triticum aestivum, that is freshly juiced or dried into powder for animal and human consumption.

Wheat Grass is indeed a healthy plant and drinking it pure or an addition to fruit juices and shakes is helpful in keeping yourself healthy and nourished. The Dr. Juice offers this wheat grass juice for P40 per shot, (shot glass) and should you want it added to your fruit juice or shakes you’ll just have to add P15.

I didnt have the guts to try this one as i am very keen when it comes to food or drinks that i take, i always make sure that i am familiar and would be liking it, and this one, i hate the smell, it smells like a fresh grass early in the morning… not bad actually, I just cannot. :)

As for the taste, according to the man in the picture, it tastes like pineapple… uhmmnn, that because he mixed it with a pineapple juice. :D

Vox Populi

Posted by maj on Saturday Mar 8, 2008 Under General

Political dynamics… this is what they call the structure of society where struggles and pressures are present from the opposing parties… and these actually is helpful in the country, I just don’t want to elaborate as to how.

Last March 8, thousands of Filipinos, and some of half Filipinos, have marched to denounce the leadership of our President, I, most for the matter of curiousness had convinced my boyfriend to accompany me in the rally that is staged in Ayala Avenue. What I do not understand in what I witnessed there is that lots of people who joined seemed to not understand why they were actually there. I saw some that were just loitering and not even listening to whoever is talking on the stage. Some were arguing in a line where food were being distributed and a little lot more of activities that seemed inappropriate in the activity being staged. Well.. i do not know why is it like that and i do not want to comment anymore.

It is actually a mixed intention why I want to be there, because somehow, I want to show my support to Jun Lozada, but I dont want the President to resign. Why is it so.. I admire the honesty of Jun Lozada, many had ridiculed him saying how can he be a reliable and credible witness against someone that is evil, if he is or has been a devil himself.. well, this seemed to be irradical, aren’t it should have been understood from the first time he talked that he also is an evil, because how can he detail the informations he delivered if he has not been a part of it, and being part of that deal requires an evil doer!

Secondly, he had renewed his beliefs, all of us had sinned against others but not all of us had the chance to correct it, and now, Jun Lozada has his chance and he grabbed it, why can’t we just support him to his struggle for truth to prevail. Lastly, he’s being used by the shadow government, yes, a big possibility, but these shadow government advocates the truth partly, and if not them, who would support Lozada, it cannot be just any simple citizen, so having a lesser evil intention will not be that bad.

But, I do not agree that the present President should step down from her office. Because, I believe that there is no other competent leader that can replace her. That it will not stop the political chaos that we had now. That it would only heighten the struggle of greedy politicians to power. And most of all, that in the end, it is us, taxpayers living a simple life, will pay what it would cost the country, at a very high price.
